Go read about the Delaware courthouse shooter, Thomas Matusciewicz:

Do not, I repeat, do NOT lionize this man in any way. Do not make him out to be a hero. Comment soberly, frame the proper narrative, draw the necessary counter-feminist object lesson, but make NO statement that could be construed as approbation of what he has done. You need not condemn Mr. Matusciewicz in set terms, but do not voice approval!
Briefly then, don't be a loose cannon-mouth.
You will likely meet commenters on various websites who will roar their praise of Mr. Matusciewicz and his sanguinary actions. These commenters may or may not call themselves "MRAs", but that is what they will be called by others. You should immediately confront these commenters with the accusation that they are feminist provocateurs -- which many of them indeed are! In fact, if you can recruit a posse, you can make the rounds and mob these people in a spectacular way that will register sharply on the public mind. Remember, you must specifically denounce them as feminist provocateurs, since you wish to make it clear for the record that you are not a feminist yourself.

Not to worry, David Futrelle has become the loose-cannon mouth before any mRA loose cannons had a chance to make fools of themselves.
"It seems almost inevitable" Futrelle wrote today "that at some point some especially angry and unbalanced Mens Rights Activist will resort to violence"
I wonder how Futrelle knows this is inevitable? Or how
"This violence may well be directed against a judge or a prosecutor or some other official seen as a feminist or a feminist collaborator."
And he assures that:
"When and if this violence occurs, no doubt the folks at AVfM will officially lament it---and then come up with elaborate explanations of how it's all the fault of the feminists."
This all sounds a little too close to reporting 'the news of the future' for comfort, especially when punctuated with a conclusion like: "If the Men's Rights Movement wants to be seen as anything other than a hate group, &c."
I would say that 'when and if such violence occurs' people would be better served comparing the details to Futrelle's predictions and maybe start looking in THAT direction for who might really be to blame.
Oh what a schmuck! He just doesn't want to take responsibility for feminism.

Also, I'd like to know how he classifies any given person as a "men's rights activist". On what set of criteria does he presume to make such a categorization? Apparently David Futrelle hasn't gotten the memo that the non-feminist revolution is not a "movement" at all, but an amoral force of nature that will not go away if you fail to address the source of the problem truthfully.
The "Men's Rights Movement" is not a "hate group" because it is not even a group in the first place. It is nothing but a fabrication in the minds of David Futrelle and similar people.

I think that one of Futrelle's commenters put the finger on where the Blobfish was actually going with this argument:
"...if an MRA did commit this type of act after visiting AVfM, wouldn't Elam be able to be at least {charged with} conspiracy?...this type of act appears to fall under the auspices of the Homeland Security Act of 2002."
Futrelle - projection in action, he works hard to protect the womyns - from himself.
Doesn't that guy Schwyzer kind of have the same schick? A perverse kind of male honor, in that they effectively self-report, so feminists and women in general can recognize and steer clear of them.
