In the edit box at the bottom express yourself, here is something similar to what I wrote:
I found the episode of "The Talk" that aired on CBS on July 14, 2011 to be extremely offensive. The hostesses of the show were laughing at a man who had been sexually mutilated.
Just as it is inappropriate to air animals being mutilated willfully by a human being, I think it is more inappropriate to air jokes about actual human beings getting willfully mutilated by others.
The jovial attitude from the hostesses on the show "The Talk" was grossly offensive and obscene.
Nobody would be allowed to joke about animals being willfully maimed and crippled, the women on CBS should not be allowed to make light of a man being maimed and crippled.

Censorship is not the solution to this social problem.
Then maybe we need more episodes like this, to let the evidence accumulate? (Serious thought.)
Who is the man in the video?
HE ROCKS!
Interesting.
Whenever some form of activism pops up, there is always somebody who finds a "logical" reason not to participate in it.
And a quick P.S.
I read through your comments at citizen renegay or whatever its called.
I did myself a favor long ago.
I stopped reading that crap.
@Anonymous:
The man in the video is "the Amazing Atheist". You can look up his channel on YouTube.
Personally, I think he yells too much. I would favor the cold, acid approach.
@Scarecrow:
I don't normally read that crap either, but this time I somehow stumbled into it.
Like the way you threw down the gauntlet over at Roissy's, Fidelbogen. I didn't notice any takers. Also Like how you handled that Xsplat chap.
Oh don't you know Fiddly, I have been working on a super secret project. I'll just say I'm one manipulative whore and I ruined my normal user name's reputation. Oh well.
That said and on topic, I sent a complaint in *solidarity* with the other half of the species.
Let me guess, are we soon to hear that Catherine's turn to radfeminism was 'all a social experiment'?
@NS:
Yup, more 'n likely!
Which article was it in which Fidelbogan has been throwing gauntlets around? This sounds interesting.
@Jared:
It was one of the recent posts; I forget the exact title.
Jared, go to

It's an extensive comment thread. I don't feel like locating Fidel's comments, but read through it if you can and you'll find them. "Fiddle" challenges some clowns to defend themselves intellectually and nobody rises to the challenge.
Thanks, I've read it now. Good fun.
I mentioned in a previous comment a British tv show called "Loose Women". Casual misandry is taken for granted on this show. A male version could be called "Locker Room"...of course this imagined show would never be considered by tv producers, let alone aired.
Most of the content of "Loose Women" is gossipy nonsense, but often you will hear something that goes beyond the usual male bashing. A recent example of this is when columnist Janet Street Porter criticised Mammograms as being "invasive & painful" & that the machines used to detect cancer in women's breasts ( thus saving millions of lives ) could "only have been designed by men". How do you respond to a comment like that when it is considered an acceptable thing to say? None of the other women on the show pulled her up on it. Business as usual.
The women who make these comments have a standard response..."we're not serious". They are not serious when they joke about genital mutilation, so it's ok. The mostly female studio audience...I wonder what their take is? My guess is that they DO NOT agree with the likes of Osbourne at all. Osbourne is expected to make outrageous comments, so she gets away with it.
I think we have to guard against assuming that women in general hold these kind of views. I don't think they do. My opinion is that the casual misandry & general ridiculing/belittling of males goes unnoticed & unchallenged because it is not taken seriously, least of all by women.
The problem lies in getting people to accept that men MATTER...I don't think even men themselves believe that & I think we need to accept that we are chiefly to blame. Osbourne's comments are symptomatic of an age & specifically a Western culture that is degenerating in terms of its human values. Viewed in that context, her comments are par for the course. Having said that, she does need to apologise publicly and in line with how a male tv presenter would be treated, she does need to be fired from her job.
The pathetically half hearted rebuttal by the woman from "Roseanne" was more disturbing to me than Osbourne's comments.
