Some Hard Words
This video is worth watching two or three times, in connection with my previous post. The narrator certainly pulls no punches. And he is spot on the money when he informs us that certain forms of male violence are predictable. . . and bound to happen more and more in the present social climate. Feminism made this happen, and more feminism will only pour more petrol on the flames.
That aside, I should add that it is urgently important for non-feminist women to awaken to the crisis and make their voices loudly heard. If there is perhaps a flaw in the female psyche, as the video suggests, then we need to hear from as many "alternative" female voices as possible, in order to know that the situation as a whole is not beyond redemption.
And if you haven't read the classic False Rape Society article on the Lorena Bobbitt case, it's high time that you did:

Speaking of 'non-feminist women and their awakening to the crisis'.
Do you remember Lady Catherine? The earnest 'pro-humanist' who used to swing by here, who claimed to be critical of feminism?
Turns out she's a rabid misandrist and radfem after all. She moderates a radical feminist subreddit and one called "against men's rights," i.e. against the idea that men should have rights (civil, legal, human, etc.)
I guess it was fairly obvious when she started referring to her husband as her 'slave,' saying she expects total obedience from him, etc. and not seeing that there is anything wrong or abusive about this or why it might be considered offensive.
She once pretended to be opposed to those radical S&M feminists who literally want to revoke men's rights and enslave boys (the post from Paul Elam's site; it was particularly stomach-turning). It's become obvious now that she is just the same as those women, i.e. a misandrist scumbag who would take great delight in maiming or killing men.
You usually hold back comments like this but I ask you to post this one because everyone needs to know about this individual.
@Snarkozy:
Can I ask you to leave URLs for those web locations that you mentioned?

This is indeed the same lady_catherine who used to frequent these parts. I have not gone searching for her, but I have seen her posting on Reddit about her adherence to radical feminist ideas, and now she turns out to be a moderator of a subreddit opposing men's rights.
@Snarkozy:
You are correct. Here is what I found over yonder, "from the desk of Dr. Catherine Bower."
"Dear r/men's privileges redditors.
There come's a time when a radical uppity bitch needs to let her foes know how she feels about them. So my misogynistic friends with axes to grind, I will tell you how I feel about men's rights.
First point, I am not against men having rights, I am against male privilege and patriarchal systems that promote sexism. Despite having some issues/prejudices with men, I feel that my uppity bitchery is just not quite the same as abusive rapist misogynists.
My uppity bitchery is a result of being raped, so obviously I'm going to have issues with the demographic that the person belongs to. Of course, obviously, some might think it is unfair to hate men. And of course, my fellow radical uppity bitches, obviously disagree to some extent, and I because apparently as a woman, I can't think for myself.
I am proud to be called a feminazi if it means that I can improve the lives of women, gender queers, and quite frankly men suffocating under oppressive masculinity, In short, feminism is about liberation.
I might personally hate men on some personal level, but it's more like I hate the sins but not the sinner. I know that men have been conditioned by patriarchy to find women to be objects for their sexual pleasure, and gods save her if a woman says no. She will be beaten and abused.
Quite frankly, I also realize that patriarchy also disadvantages men in unique and different ways, but this pales in comparison to the rape, abuse, and objectification that women have lived with for ages. Whether it comes with your tools of religion with filthy creatures like Saint Olaf or the witchhunts, through culture and legal issues, or even now, with consistent victim blaming.
By now, I feel that I've established how I feel about men's privileges advocacy and about most men in general.
With all of that in mind, men's privileges advocates you are barely fit to suck the scum off the ground. Have a wonderful day.
Sincerely,
Dr. Catherine Bower, PhD, JA"

The same old swill that we know and love...eh? ;)
The problem with her was, that she very obviously had something of the chameleon about her. Her opinions were constantly "migrating" in a peculiar way -- which in the light of (present) retrospective knowledge makes perfect sense. She was letting her "personna" drift.
By the by, Snark, you mentioned 2 different subreddits which LadyCatherine is involved with (if I read you correctly).
One of them was the "against men's rights" subreddit, which I have visited.
The other one was . . . "a radical feminist subreddit".
Can you provide a link to the latter?
Fidelbogen, is this Bower woman not one of your Facebook friends?
@Porky:
Actually, yes.
Not that it matters, since I never use Facebook for anything at all.
Thanks for the info,Snark.
What you said may very well be the case.LC was always appearing to get involved with some different weird lifestyle every week. One week she's asexual, the next she's an Asatruar, the next she's an anarchist.
What it is, I think,is that she is a classic type B personality, with built-in approval-seeking behavior. So she's attention-whoring with this stunt, trying to get MRA's to attack her. So, from now on, shun and ignore. That will piss her off more than anything.
I voted in favor of tolerance when it came to her lifestyle with her husband, because I wanted everyone to know that the MRM is not going to condemn an alternate lifestyle. However, I will condemn anyone identifying as feminist, even as an attention-seeking stunt. This condemnation is of course final,and irrevocable, and the sentence I'm carrying out is isolation of the diseased bigot, and starving it for the attention it seeks.
I would recommend this course of action to others as well.
It has confessed its bigotry,so it has spurned the peaceful hand we extended it.
"...patriarchy also disadvantages men.... rape, abuse, and objectification that women have lived with for ages...your tools of religion with filthy creatures like Saint Olaf or the witchhunts, through culture and legal issues, or even now, with consistent victim blaming."
demoonstrating feminist myhtology an imagined past of victimhood.
Witch hunts in history are proven to be vastly exaggerated.
feminist speak of thousands of woemn burnt at the stake. This
NEVER happened.
" Her opinions were constantly "migrating" in a peculiar way"
also typical feminist obscurantism.
Vagueness in language stretching language.Basic feminist strategy
...or to put it plainly telling lies.
But then feminism is one great big LIE.
Omg... What a pityful women. Doesn't she see that she's sick because of her rabit hatred?
How mad needs a person to be to remove rights of a whole group because of the deeds of a minority. That's the same reasoning as if men would enslave women after puberty, because they're compulsive marriage breakers.
Honestly I'd suggest her to see a psychologist who can help her with her irrational hatred.
Turns out she's a rabid misandrist and radfem after all.
I spotted that from the start.
I noticed that she was trying to play all the same victim cards as feminism did - only for men.
She "talked the talk and walked the walk".
Speaking about how her "house husband" was constantly ridiculed...
"I noticed that she was trying to play all the same victim cards as feminism did - only for men.. "
Operating from the same template, but tweaking the key terms. Okay, that makes sense.
What I noticed was a drift from one philosophical position to another -- what you would expect of somebody who was calculating their effect but not getting it right. Like an actor who can't maintain a consistent accent.
I'm amazed that women like this honestly believe that espousing feminist beliefs doesn't make them a a feminist.
@Trent13:
Yup, that's what you'd call the duck test, all right!
Oh, Trent, for your general political information, you ought to read the following, and especially the comment thread which follows:
https://roissy.wordpress.com/2011/07/23/a-traditionalist-manifesto
I am officially washing my hands of the "PUA movement", meaning that I do not see them as political allies in any way, even collaterally.
Too many arrogant wankers and sleazy douchebags in that camp.
I suggest that you, too, put them on your "enemies list". ;)
In their own way, they are as bad as the feminists.
