Binaural Beats
These-here audio mind-tools are just the ticket for some of you hotheaded "MRA types", so you can get yourselves into a grooved out, transcended brainwave state. You know, so y'all can be more effectively cutting-edge in this WAR we are fighting! ;)

I've actually been into Binaural beats for about a year and a half now... specifically theta, I was wondering if it could help me focus on my academic endeavors, but I wasn't sure if I needed to listen to it while doing the "homework" or listen to it, THEN do the homework...
Any ideas?
This is great! Certainly helps!
@Amstrat:
I would say do it BEFORE the work, since the audio itself could be a mental distraction.
I tried this....It just pissed me off.
"I tried this....It just pissed me off."
Maybe because your mind was still in overdrive, thinking about this-n-that, and you were fighting it rather than just flowing with it?
Adjusting the volume downward might be helpful, too . . .
The best binaural beat I ever heard was generated by a lister pump at the Seward Fisheries cannery in Seward Alaska. Somehow that device went gently in and out of phase in a most agreeable way, and it would even energize me for the exhausting, numbing work that I did.
I just tried the 'alpha-slide' audio. It was 7 minutes long, and I went into a deep twilight-sleep/meditation state. Now I feel relaxed and rejuvenated. A natural 'buzz'. Wish I had some carrot juice or kombucha to slurp down right now! ;)
